Teamwork!

Teamwork.  Whether playing a sport, working in an office, playing in a band….it is imperative to be one harmonious unit.  While Jenny Koleth, Profugo’s Executive Director, was in town, we had a day promoting teamwork within the tailoring center.  Jenny began the day using the analogy that each woman represents a strand of thread.  One thread is weak and easily breaks.  As you begin braiding more and more strands together, the thread becomes stronger, more durable.

The Taste of the Color Red

Water for Life Inauguration: A Day of Togetherness

A long awaited dream of Prashanthagiri community came true on June 15th. They no longer have to go down the hill to collect the water. Now it is at their door steps. Summer Update: Kickstarter Pledges in Action

Dear Friends, It’s been 2 months since our Kickstarter ended.  Thanks to your support, we were able to raise $11,641 towards the expansion of our Tailoring Workshop!  Here’s what we’ve accomplished so far this summer: 5 additional women have been hired for a total of 11 women tailors! Our Tailoring Workshop has been shifted to a newly added space at Profugo’s COD in Wayanad. Research is underway for the purchase of power and commercial sewing

Out with the New, In with the Old
