Good Day Sunshine

The rain has gone. Mara poy, as you would say in Malayalam. I no longer have to grab that umbrella each time I leave the house. The sky is blue and the sun is shining. The village where I am working has taken on a whole new splendor. I can see the mountains in the distance where during the monsoon, all I could see was the underside of my umbrella and a gray, heavy sky.

October Update!

Dear Friends, I’ve returned Stateside after a productive summer in Wayanad, India. One major accomplishment is the purchase of 2.7 acres of land, just outside of Prashanthagiri. We are getting ready to renovate the property to accommodate our field fellows and other field volunteers. All of Profugo’s development initiatives, such as the Water for Life Project, Tailoring Program, ELS, Agriculture, Aquaponics, and Natural Resource Management will be housed here.
