The name Profugo means refugee in Italian. To us, the word Profugo simply means ‘the feeling of being displaced’ or ‘not belonging’. Profugo as an organization is where people connect. It is less a place (or a brick and mortar structure) and more of a purpose. Profugo is an an idea. We work together to create a neighborhood where we all belong. A neighborhood where we all can envision a better future.
